Okra in Curry



  • 2tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 chopped garlic clove
  • 1tsp of red chilli pepper powder or crushed
  • 1tsp cumin
  • 1tsp turmeric
  • 2 cups of tomato pure. Blend one or two tomatoes. Don't use a pure from a can
  • 2 cups of Okra



  • Heat the oil in the pan an fry gently the garlic until soft
  • Add the chilies, cumin, turmeric and tomato paste and stir for 5min in low heat.
  • Add water and the Okra, simmered and covered for 10 to 15 min until tender.
